Brazier (furo).

This is a brazier of TSUBOYA ware. It is made in cylindrical shape on a wheel, and it has openwork on the shoulder. It was used for incense and tea ceremonies. Fine white clay which does not need engobe was used for the stove, and trees and others are beautifully drawn on it by using overglaze paints. This is one of the few best overglaze enamels that have recognized as glazed ware.
