Costume in BINGATA dyeing
Images Title
Images Title
There are large peonies on the shoulder, flowing water and sweet flag on the hem, with long-tailed chickens flying gracefully between these patterns. The design keeps a beautiful balance on this BINGATA-dyed costume. The painter from a government office called KAIZURI BUGYOSHO, which produced lacquerware, drew the original of this design, and photos of the drafts were taken by Yoshitaro Kamakura before the Battle of Okinawa.
