Overview

This is a summer ceremonial costume for women called NCHANASHI, and it is an unlined costume. The design depicts seashore scenes, chrysanthemums, pine trees and mandarin oranges on a blue cloth. RYOMENZOME (two-sided dyeing) was used for this costume. Indigo was used to dye the blue cloth and the accent colors of blue and green skillfully, and it gives a cool impression to its depth of design.
