Costume in indigo dyeing.

Overview

This is a BINGATA-dyed summer costume. Its design depicts auspicious patterns including pine trees, bamboos, and snow on bamboo grasses, which cannot be seen in Ryukyu Kingdom. These patterns are expressed on a white ramie cloth. By using muted colors including blue, green and purple, it gives calmness and elegance to the costume.
