Costume in BINGATA dyeing.

Overview

This is a BINGATA-dyed costume with dropping peony and long-tailed chicken patterns in the hemp leaf-patterned mists on the upper part, swallows on the middle part, and cranes and sweet flags on the bottom part of a white silk. A difficult dyeing technique called RYOMENZOME (two-sided dyeing) was used to dye this costume, in which patterns are laid out in the same position on each side of the costume.
