Lined costume in BINGATA dyeing.

Overview

This is a BINGATA-dyeing winter lined costume for women. Lined costume is a kimono which has backing cloth on. Lovely pink-colored cloth with shells and seaweed patterns were used for outer material. Key-fret pattern that sidlingly connected a running pattern of 卍, - a Japanese classical pattern - , cherry blossoms, maple trees and fans are on a purple lining. By folding the collar back outward, the lining looks like outer material and creates contrast of colors and designs. This costume makes full use of the characteristics of Ryukyuan style.
